These two gorgeous people were planning to be wed in a beautiful garden ceremony with vintage themes at Matt’s family home in Morrinsville in the mighty Waikato. The weather had different plans and while the rain and the cold meant that the ceremony had to be moved indoors at the last minute, Gaylene and Matt still had their vintage inspired wedding, got some classic, creative and romantic photos of their day and had a bloody good time doing it.
I look forward to photographing every wedding that I shoot, – focusing on finding all the important details and bringing them together to tell the story of a wedding day brings me so much joy. But it makes me so excited to when I’ve had a chance to connect and get to know the couples that I work with as friends first. You’ll probably remember Gaylene and Matt’s awesome engagement session with me, and working together with them again to document this exciting part of their lives together was so much fun, because I knew what was important to them and they trusted me to guide them. Being a wedding photographer means that often I have to work on the fly as plans often change last minute, the weather doesn’t always cooperate (and sometimes the guests don’t want to either), but there is always something amazing that can be made from the moments of your wedding day.
Gaylene and Matt – I adored being part of your wedding day, thank you so much for inviting me to capture it!
